WHY SPONSOR A SYRIAN REFUGEE FAMILY?

The conflict in Syria has sparked "the biggest humanitarian emergency of our era", according to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. More than half of Syria's pre-war population of 23 million is in need of urgent humanitarian assistance. 4 million refugees now live outside Syria and at least 7 million are displaced inside the country. This is such a large problem that many of us think we can't make difference. That is not true. You can change the lives of one family. 'Bridges of Mercy' wants to give one family an opportunity to start a new life in Canada. We can do that with your help.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO SPONSOR A FAMILY?

We need to raise funds to support the family for one year while they transition to their new life.

OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $35,000.

This will cover start-up, monthly expenses and a small contingency - this will allow for a very modest standard of living. We invite you to contribute to this fund as generously as you are able.
